A trama se desenrola em algum lugar no s\u00e9culo 35, no momento em que a gal\u00e1xia est\u00e1 dominada por duas pot\u00eancias, que se encontram em guerra. A obra conta a hist\u00f3ria desta guerra entre o Galactic Empire mon\u00e1rquico e o Free Planets Alliance, democr\u00e1tico.
