Duskfade is a charming 3D action-platformer that wears its Kingdom Hearts, Ratchet & Clank, and Jak and Daxter inspirations proudly. Its clever level design, rewarding exploration, enjoyable boss battles, and strong soundtrack make Weird Beluga's debut easy to recommend to genre fans. Some stiff movement, inconsistent lock-on mechanics, and distracting lighting issues keep it from reaching greater heights, but its personality and creativity ultimately outweigh its shortcomings.
